From Consumer to Creator

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a writer. The wanting was so strong, that’s all it ever amounted to. More wanting begets more wanting.

A mentor of mine with a World Champion level had bias towards action used to say, “Kill the monster before it gets big.” His advice has always been not to give any problem time to grow in your mind or in other people’s. Don’t give a problem fresh air, or even sunlight. First thing in the morning, slay your biggest problem with process, and save your emotional reserves for the good stuff you’re trying to make happen.

This same mentor also insisted on time-integrity, and shipping on shipping early and often. “Better done than perfect” was the point.

So, in that spirit, I made the executive decision to publish this first article without a lot of the features and benefits you’re probably used to getting when you read published work written by professionals. For example, I’m not going to include a distinct beginning, middle or ending. The point is to publish and the fact that you’re reading this means I have succeeded.

As my way of thanking you for supporting me in my getting started as a writer — simply by reading what I’ve written, you’ve done that, I would like to return the kindness by sharing the best Lifehack I learned in 2020, with you.

Never again empty your cans of La Croix one by one into the fridge. Save massive amounts of time and energy with the brilliant life hack below.

Until we are connected again, namaste.

Yours Truly- Mark
